Aliza has been working throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and in the US on HIV and AIDS prevention and research, Family Planning and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Ebola recovery since 2007. Her work has taken her to South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, Kenya, Liberia, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Zambia, Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire, enabling her to pursue her mission to document the true beauty of Africa and its diverse cultures through photography. Her ongoing project: Faces of Hope documents the many faces of HIV prevention. During South Africa's 2010 World Cup, she photographed "There is a World Cup in my Village," a documentary on her work with the Society Empowerment Project in Oyugis, Kenya promoting Female Empowerment Through Football. In 2012 she created "Sante Publique Ayiti," a visual ethnography of public health initiatives in Haiti.

- Ebola Recovery in Liberia displayed at USAID's headquarters in the Ebola Recovery Unit (2016).
- American Association for the Advancement of the Sciences (AAAS) as part of "The Art of Science Policy Exhibition (2013)".
